Maité Jackson is an Amsterdam-based laboratory for cultural experimentation. We create events that bring together different disciplines - music, cooking, art, dance... - promoting dialogue between schools and artistic practices. Our performances transform space into a terrain of shared experience, inviting the public to experience unprecedented moments.
Our first event, on November 27 of 2024 at Rietveld Academie's Glass Pavilion, fused hairdressing, cuisine and experimental jazz. Spectators could enjoy angel hair and a haircut while listening to a live concert, redefining the spectator experience.
Next event: “Maïté Masqué” - a masked ball scheduled for March 13. In progress, this event will explore new interactions between performance, identity and collective ritual.
