performed at Pavillion Gerrit Rietveld Academie
Concert-Performance duo with Yam Anisimov, conservatory student, at the Maité Jackson event, this concert questions the place of the stage and the boundary between noise and music. The experience begins with a live recording of the sound of a barber's razor in the middle of a haircut, an intrusive noise that disrupts Yam's guitar solo. Gradually, these sounds intertwine and find a balance, until the barber himself takes to the stage.
Improvisation unfolds through voice, guitar and a sonic exploration in which combs, scissors and other hairdressing tools become instruments, modified by effects pedals.
The experience culminates in a poetic intervention on transformation and identity, through the text “Hair Variation”: “I have hair, you have hair, her has hair, you were here, her was there... ”A hybrid concert, at the crossroads of sound ritual and stage performance.
