screened at The Eye Museum
This project explores the relationship between time, perception and fiction. Written, directed and accompanied by music I composed, it consists of a POV shot following a person walking towards The Eye, the cinema where the film is shown. Filmed in reverse and then reversed in the edit, the result gives the illusion that the person is moving forward while the world is moving backwards, blurring the boundaries between reality and illusion.
The climax occurs when the person enters the cinema in the video, while a real person simultaneously enters. This link between film and reality invites us to reflect on the interaction between the image and the living.
